India
Designed for high school students, our journey to India is immersive and impactful. Travel with us to the Northern State of Rajasthan, a region full of strong cultural traditions and warm, lively people. You will get to experience Jaipur, known as the pink city, and get to know fascinating cultural sites alongside local neighborhoods.
In Ambedkar Nagar, the community we work within, you’ll connect with families who face a lack
of food, clean water, electricity, and basic healthcare. Your service will focus on education and community development, especially advocacy around education equality for women and girls.
Get ready to become immersed in the local culture – from Bollywood dance, to cooking classes, to a Sari workshop, you will have the experience of a lifetime in India!

What You Will Remember
THE ADVENTURE
It is not just the contradictions but the experiences that are exotic and otherworldly. Where else can you see elephants lumbering down busy streets, grossly overloaded trucks barely navigating traffic upright, and women balancing unfathomably heavy water jugs on their heads? India is one bold adventure after another.
THE CULTURE
India is a country of strange opposition — magnificent opulence and shocking squalor, raucous city streets and peaceful temples, arid deserts and lush tropics, playful festivals and ascetic traditions… Everywhere you turn there are new sights, sounds, and scents to intoxicate you. It is hard to experience India without feeling that you have lived a lifetime in just a short stay.
YOUR IMPACT
Poverty is extreme in India, and the need is great. Education and resources are limited. The children and families of the villages where we stay are happy, optimistic people who work hard every day despite challenging conditions. The community is eager to learn and quick to become friends. You will see the results of your efforts immediately, though the impact (and the memories) will long endure.
India Service Projects
Projects are based on community needs and community direction, but traditionally fall under the category of access to education. Here are a few examples.

Testimonials
“The program has taught me the impact of doing community service and the amazing amount of bonding we can do and the difference we can make by working together as a team and being guided by great leaders.”
“Lisa and Vincent both had a wonderful experience on your Dream Volunteers Summer Program. The camp was very well done. We were impressed. Thank you for all your hard work.”
“This experience has allowed me to empathize with and learn about those who live differently from me. I’ve realized that although we have our differences, there are many ways in which we are the same. This program has also inspired me to continue with my community service work.“
